An early visitor to the, as yet, incomplete Grindham Shed! Although built for the West Coast mainline (ostensibly to replace Stanier Pacific "Princess Anne", written off in the Harrow disaster), the Duke spent some time at Swindon Works in an attempt to cure the performance problems; so maybe, it was just possible that a visit to Grindham occurred on a test run...
